Goals:
• Definition/Design of 1-3 reference samples per industrial partner. Usage for the whole project runtime and all developed methods.
• Fabrication of reference samples and representative components, further preparation of the samples for detailed examination and providing of the necessary testing devices.
• Development of a technology platform, which should allow the industrial partners to keep their respective leading positions. Generation of detailed knowledge about new posibilities for composite materials.
Description of the content:
In the course of this working package, test samples, demonstrator samples and reference samples should be manufactured. The testing with NDT methods will take place in WP3. Also, some of those components will be mechanically loaded in WP3.
The platform "BeyondInspection" offers the technology for characterisation, modelling and simulation of fiber reinforced components in order to further increase the complexity in shape and structure and the intergration of functions in these components while at the same time reduce used material, scrap and weight of the component.
Methods:
• Fabrication and provision of test samples und reference samples with different microstructural features
• Provision of complex CFRP samples und multi-material components: Each partner will define and fabricate 1-3 sample geometries.
• Provision of necessary testing environments for the mechanical testing.
